This course is aimed at educators (teachers, learning support assistants or pastoral staff) and carers. It is designed to support attendees in identifying (not diagnosing) pupils who may be struggling with a mental health need such as anxiety or depression. Attendees will explore risk and protective factors for such needs and learn/practice evidence-based strategies that could be used in educational/home settings to support pupils. Both preventative and reactive (in-the-moment) strategies will be discussed. All resources will be shared with the attendees.
